Add a forum to your blog

Have you ever wondered how to add a forum to your blog? Many people have developed what they call bridges between WordPress, and popular forum softwares like PHPBB, vB, MyBB, SMF, etc. But these bridges most of the time will not work, and they’ll break, and they’ll mess up your site totally.

So what Automattic did about this, is they came up with their own forum software, called bbPress. But even with this, you have to set it up in a different directory, but sometimes it will not work, you have to do it again, and so on. So to save you all this hassle, they (Automattic) came up with a plugin.

Now you can add a forum to your blog with a plugin. Just install the plugin, and activate it. Because implenting a forum on your blog this way, there is a lot of work to be done. This plugin is not yet ready for use, but it is however in the WP Plugin respiratory.

But if you’re so desperate to download this plugin, then this is the link.

  2. Well, if you want to add a forum, i would recommend phpbb, it’s easy, open source and consumes less database resources..
