First time ever! Try before you buy!

OK, the title may seem a lit­tle mis­lead­ing, but I’m talk­ing about test dri­ving a Word­Press theme before you buy it. I’m talk­ing about Unique Blog Designs, the design­ers of JohnChow.com! They’re let­ting you try their themes, and if you’re not sat­is­fied, you don’t have to buy them. The best thing is that when they let you test drive the themes, you are able to look at all the options, not just some.

So basi­cally, you enter your name and email on this page, then they let you use their end-less options to cus­tomize their themes to the fullest, and then when you’re done, if you like it, you buy it, if not, you don’t have to. This is a great thing they’re doing, and prob­a­bly the first com­pany to do so (at least the only one I know of).

This is more than a demo of the theme. Yes, the offer the demo too, but they also let you play with the back­end of the theme. With the other themes, they can look great in the demo, but that’s because they’re cus­tomized by pros. If you’re new, you can’t cus­tomize eve a pre­mium theme. This hap­pened to me ear­lier. I pur­chased a theme, it looked great and all, but then I couldn’t make it look as “cool” as it showed on the demo. The options on the back-end were very lim­ited; had only one option, to enter the feed url.
