With it’s thou­sands plu­g­ins, you can cus­tomize every aspect of it, to make it work your way. And since Word­Press is Open Source, you can make it even pow­er­ful, as you can change the code, or have some­one do it for you.

Design

Plu­g­ins are not the only thing that make Word­Press the most pow­er­ful blogging/CMS soft­ware. The thou­sands of themes designed espe­cially for Word­Press is what make Word­Press what it is today. And the pos­si­bil­i­ties you can do with them are endless.

Open Source

Ok, so you do get all these plu­g­ins and themes with Word­Press, but what I think the most impor­tant thing is that all of this is FREE. You don’t have to pay a penny for any of this. (With the excep­tion of the pre­mium plu­g­ins and themes).
